Peter Mall studied Guitar in Trossingen and worked as a guitar teacher for more than 10 years. He holds a PhD in Music Education and has been teaching in master programs at the HfMDK Frankfurt, HfMDK Mannheim and recently at the HMTM Hannover. His research focus lies on outreach education and social aspects of music learning. He has been researcher in the EU project “EMP_Maths - Sounding ways into mathematics”, which was selected as success story in 2018.

The Frankfurt Project

In this part of the Schools@Concerts project, pupils of a Frankfurt grammar school (7th grade) visited a students concert of the University of Music in Frankfurt. The concert theme was “Classic Masters” and the orchestra played peaces of Mozart, Schubert and Beethoven, including a triple concert with three soloist. The students had in avance the chance to join lessons of Professors of the University. The university regularly offers pupils the chance to visit the place and join lessons. Also, the university is part of the Frankfurt project “MusikMonatMai”, providing childrens concerts and projects in the month of may.
